Plexr at our London clinic utilises plasma energy to precisely vaporise tissue in a controlled manner, enabling the easy removal of skin tags and other benign lesions whilst minimising the risk of scarring.  Plexr is often favoured for benign skin lesion removal due to its non-invasive nature, which means there are no incisions or stitches involved. The procedure is performed under local with minimal downtime.

All our PLEXR treatments require a consultation and patch-test prior to booking for a full treatment. This enables you to ask any questions you may have and to try PLEXR out, so that you know what to expect during your treatment and recovery. The patch-test also enables us to better understand how your skin will respond to the treatment and to plan any pre-treatment skincare.
On the day of your treatment, your doctor will assess how your skin responded to the patch-test. After completing the consent form and photography, the doctor will clean the skin and apply numbing cream. The numbing cream will be left on for 40 minutes. Once the skin is fully numb, the doctor will start the treatment. Once the treatment is complete, the doctor will apply after-care cream and give you specific face wash, soothing cream and sunblock to use after treatment. Over the next week, we will review you every 2-3 days and give you LED light therapy to help promote healthy skin recovery.
PLEXR is an excellent treatment for skin-tightening and is an effective way of treating upper and lower eyelids. If you have significantly loose skin, you may need more than one treatment. The treatment is available to Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV; darker skin types will have a higher risk of pigmentation

We normally advise between 1-3 sessions of PLEXR. The number of sessions required will depend on your skin quality and how much excess skin needs to be removed.
The results are permanent. It is worthwhile bearing in mind that, after treatment, the skin continues to age in the normal way and so you may require further treatment in the future.
Most patients will not feel anything during PLEXR. After treatment, the skin feels warm and sensitive, but not painful.
The side effects of Plexr are the skin being red, swollen and crusty after treatment. It takes 5 days for most of the swelling to go down and 7 days for most of the crusts to fall off. A slight pink colour of the skin may remain for several weeks after treatment, but this is easily concealed.
Dr Tatiana performs PLEXR treatments. After treatment, you will have LED sessions with one of our experienced therapists.
Your skin should not be tanned prior to treatment. You will need to provide us with a medical history and details of all medication and skincare that you are using. Some topical creams such as retinol will need to be stopped for 7 days prior to treatment.
