HOW TO PREPARE?

Aquagold is a single-use applicator with super-fine 24ct gold spiral needles. These delicate needles are so gentle your clinician is able to treat right to the lash line and over the lips, without any bleeding or need for numbing cream. The cocktail of ingredients that is delivered to the skin is made bespoke by your clinician. For example:

  • a patient that suffers with oily skin, enlarged pores and redness may benefit from Botulinum toxin, PRP and Vitamin E
  • a patient that has dry, dehydrated, sun damaged skin may benefit from Hyaluronic acid, PRP and Vitamins C and E
  • a patient with fine lines and wrinkles and volume loss may benefit from a rich mix of Hyaluronic acid, PRP and Botulinum toxin
  • a patient with melasma may benefit from tranexamic acid, vitamin C and PRP.

Aquagold is an excellent treatment to address dryness, reduce acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, pore size, redness and improves the skin’s overall tone and texture. It can be used on the face, eye area, lips, neck, chest and back of hands. The brilliance of the Aquagold fine touch treatment is that the cocktail can be fully bespoke for every session, depending on what your skin needs. It can also be combined with other treatments such as HydraFacial and Peels.

At your consultation with us, we will assess your skin, discuss your skin concerns and recommend the most suitable treatment alongside a treatment plan to address your skin needs. At your treatment appointment, your practitioner will discuss the steps of treatment and take you through the process of consent. We will then clean the skin and take pre-treatment photographs. You will be given a headband and towel to protect your clothing. A small handheld bottle with the fine needles will be carefully pressed into the skin to infuse the cocktail of ingredients.

Aquagold is a safe and effective treatment for pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and enlarged pores. We do not recommend Aquagold to patients that have active infection in the treatment area, are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Patch-testing is not generally required for Aquagold. If you have specific allergies or skin concerns, it is important to discuss these with the practitioner at your first consultation.

The number of sessions required will depend on the bespoke cocktail of ingredients used.

Results can last up to 1 year.

The treatment is not painful and numbing cream is not usually required. Most people will feel mild or moderate stinging during the treatment.

There can be some mild redness & sensitivity to the skin after treatment. Please speak to your practitioner who will guide you through downtime for your treatment.

Aquagold treatments are carried out by our experienced practitioners.

We recommend that your skin is not red, inflamed or peeling on the day of treatment. If you are using strong skin products such as retinol, tretinoin, salicylic acid or glycolic, you may wish to pause these for 3-5 days prior to treatment.
