How to prepare for AviClear laser treatment
All our AviClear UK patients are invited for a consultation appointment prior to treatment. During your consultation, the doctor will assess your concerns and the areas for potential AviClear acne treatment. There may be several other suitable treatment options and the practitioner will discuss these with you in detail. You will be sent information about each treatment via email.
If you choose to go ahead with AviClear: on the day of treatment you will be seen by the Doctor who will take you through the consent process, answer any other questions you may have and take before-treatment pictures.
The treatment involves a rubber-band-like sensation on the skin. It can be a little uncomfortable but generally not painful. During the AviClear laser procedure, your skin will be kept wet with water and the treated areas cooled to minimise pain. The acne treatment will take approximately 40 minutes.

We recommend that you pause any treatments like retinol, tretinoin, salicylic acid or glycolic for 14 days prior treatment. We recommend that you do not tan for at least 4 weeks prior to and for at least 4 weeks after this treatment.
