Weak Chin
In aesthetics, we often use a mathematical calculation called the ‘golden ratio’ to define the ideal proportions of the face. According to this ratio, the length and forward-projection of the chin should be in balance with the lips and nose. If the chin is too short or too flat compared to the lips and nose, it will appear ‘weak’ hence the term Weak Chin. Dermal fillers can be used to safely and effectively augment the length and forward-projection of the chin to create a better ratio.
Treatment Options
Dermal filler is a term used to describe a substance that is injected into the dermis of the skin in order to plump the area. Although there are many different types of fillers, the most popular are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which are naturally produced. Dermal fillers can have different structures and consistencies that make them more suitable for treatment of different areas. By injecting dermal filler into the chin, we can build volume, and achieve a natural definition and shape. This is usually done gradually and over a number of sessions.
