Leg Thread Veins
Thread veins, also known as spider veins, broken capillaries or telangiectasia, are enlarged visible vessels often seen on the face and legs. They look like red, purple or blue vessels that twist and turn just below the skin surface. On the face, they are often seen around the nose, cheeks and chin. Thread veins over-grow in response to long-term skin inflammation, acne, hormones, sun exposure, trauma, alcohol and medication and do not serve any useful purpose in the skin. Leg Thread Veins can safely be removed using laser; this process is also known as photothermolysis.
Treatment Options
At Drs Tatiana + Rishi Advanced Aesthetics, leg thread veins are effectively treated using the gold standard vascular laser, ExcelV+. The ExcelV+ vascular platform contains multiple laser wavelengths to specifically target haemoglobin within the vessels resulting in the closure of these blood vessels.
