Hair Loss
Although there are a number of conditions that can cause hair loss, the most common are male pattern baldness (MPB) and female pattern baldness (FPB).
Male Pattern Baldness (MPB)
MPB, also known as androgenic alopecia, is a genetic condition that is inherited in families. The condition is caused by Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a derivative of Testosterone, which attaches to hair follicles and causes them to shrink and stop producing hair. You may notice that more hair is falling, thinning hair or a receding hairline. The success of stopping hair loss and promoting hair growth depends on a number of factors including general health, age at which hair loss started, rate of loss and how soon treatment is started. The more hair that is lost, the less chance you have of making a full recovery. As such, we advise that you seek specialist advice as soon as you notice more hair shedding.
Female Pattern Baldness (FPB)
FPB, also known as androgenic alopecia, is a genetic condition that causes thinning of the hair. It typically effects the top of the head and crown. You may notice that more hair is falling, thinning hair, receding hairline or a wider parting.
Treatment Options
ExoRF combines microneedling radiofrequency (RF) with a concentrated solution of 10 billion exosomes applied topically. This treatment stimulates the regeneration of hair follicles and promotes new hair growth for healthier, thicker hair. Microneedling RF creates pinpoint heat trauma that triggers a healing and regenerative response, while exosomes soothe, nourish, and further stimulate the regenerative cascade.
Our Enhanced PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment is a unique and powerful method that stimulates significant hair growth in just one session. This treatment combines a customised blend of proteins, growth factors, and your own platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected into the scalp. Hair growth occurs over several months, with most patients noticing substantial improvement by the 6-month mark. This treatment is suitable for male- and female-pattern hair loss.
